The 2008 BYA ceremony was a rousing success. It featured six dynamic youth leaders, performances by Destiny Arts of Oakland and Elliott Yamin of American Idol, and was emceed by our 2004 & 2007 BYA winners, Billy Parish and Erica Fernandez.
The awards show wrapped up a week of activities for our 2008 awardees, from a backpacking trip in Point Reyes National Seashore, to speaking on a panel at Bioneers, to a service day at Mt. Sutro in San Francisco, media interviews, networking dinners, and more.
