SUPPORTING YOUNG LEADERS
Movement in Green provides training, coaching and support for young environmental leaders that are not a part of the annual Brower Youth Award winners- to further their environmental ideas and projects. This part of our programming also focuses on public events, co-sponsored with local youth development organizations.
In 2018, we will begin our inaugural year of new local high school essay contest. To learn more about how you can submit an essay on “what it means to be an environmental and/or social justice leader?”, email firstname.lastname@example.org
This year, we have also introduced a Earth Island Institute Fellowship for university students who are interested in program management and creating real life deliverables for a client organization. To learn more about how to become a university fellow, email email@example.com
Movement in Green also includes a micro grant program, the John Goddard Prize, that is strategically awarded as a cash prize to grow ambitious youth-led environmental initiatives nationwide. The Goddard Prize will be awarded multiple times a year to enterprising young people who are pursuing environmental projects, and who are looking for funding to bring their ideas to the next level. You can access the application here.
